Åsa Hjort Architects is a London-based architectural practice with projects ranging from new-built residential houses, renovations, interiors, joinery, and furniture.

ÅHA works closely with the client to get to know their lifestyle, dreams and visions to be able to create a home that is both functional and beautiful. A home should be filled with joy and enjoyment for many years to come and the client / architect relationship is important to make the project successful.

ÅHA is involved from the conception to completion. There is a continuous dialogue from the initial ideas and sketches to technical drawings, coordination on site until the house is ready to move into.

ÅHA works with detailed solutions that will suit the client’s need. Often bespoke kitchens, vanity units and other built-in furniture are designed for the projects. I work closely with a selected team of quantity surveyors, lighting designers, joiners and later with the contractors on site.

The results are projects that responds to the site context and historical aspects, but with a contemporary interpretation. The expression is often minimal with a refined and elegant interior using natural materials that age beautifully over time.

Åsa Hjort is educated at the Architectural Association in London and is an ARB and RIBA charted architect. She worked several years at Foster+Partners in London and Hong Kong on projects such as Queen Alia’s International airport in Amman, Jordan and Cathay Pacific’s First and Business Class Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport. Åsa Hjort Architects was founded in 2018 and has since then completed projects in the UK, Sweden and Spain.
